Bad players turn and dribble. Good players turn and square. This is the starting point for players to be able to better understand how they can become better playmakers.
Strong with the Ball
To improve upon basketball ball handling skills, players first need to learn the most vital skill that all confident players use to maximize their offensive possessions in games.
Players have to protect the ball in real game situations while a coach can evaluate. Zero in on the players that are losing the ball frequently on this drill and diagnose what aspect they need to improve upon. know about what they are doing right or wrong. Using a point system for a game to 10 - where if you steal the ball you get a point, or you protect the ball you get a point - allows you to reinforce this skill within 5 minutes of a practice.
