Between the legs is one of the FOUR major ways that players should learn to change direction.
You can't go between the legs effectively at a high rate of a speed in a game scenario if you overlook the footwork that is involved with changing directions. There are 3 phases to learning how to dribble between the legs.
The techniques outlined allow you to be lower to the ground and more explosive from the between the legs dribble. This skill is what enables players to move at as high of a rate of speed as possible when changing direction.
If executed correctly, the ball should never come above knee high throughout the entire movement.
