So along the way, through about 100,000 hours, what I have learned as a coach is that no matter what I do, or what I know about basketball, or player development, technical skills, programming, etc., the most important factor in a player's development is and always will be exactly what they do on their own time.
You have to reinforce BETWEEN WORKOUTS what you are teaching IN workouts.
That's the biggest factor.
That's the key to improving as a player. And as a trainer. Eventually, YOU will master The Workout.
But can your players master the next workout before you even show up for it?
That’s when it really becomes fun!
When you show up, and every kid that you work with is improving BEFORE YOU EVEN STEP INTO THE GYM!
That’s a skilled technician.
That’s a real basketball trainer.
