Basketball Player Development Plans
What is your off-season basketball player development plan?
Having a plan is essential to get anything worth doing accomplished.
But how many players actually go into the gym to practice without any plan?
(pretty much all of them)
We all need a plan.
Coaching. Teaching. Learning.
Everyone needs to have a plan. Without a plan, you could be doing something that has no influence on your progress. Or worse,... you could be doing something that is detrimental to your development.
Do you have a specific basketball player development plan? (What does it consist of?)
THE FIRST STEP IS HAVING A PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PLAN!
- Having a plan is the first step to becoming a better basketball player.
- So if you have a plan, congratulations! (chances are it's not the greatest plan... but that's ok. We commend you for taking the first step!)
How do you get an awesome player development plan!
Well... that's the 2nd step! You are missing some things (actually, a lot of things)...
What are you missing from your player development plan?
If your player development plan doesn't have very specific info, such as:
- What specific ball handling skills you are going to work on TODAY!
- What specific techniques you are going to try to improve upon TODAY!
- What specific shooting skills (and number of reps) are you going to shoot for TODAY!
- What specific back to the basket or finishing series are you going to focus on TODAY!
This way, you can always walk into the gym knowing exactly what you are going to be doing that day and be able to compare your progress from your previous efforts,...
It may all sound unrealistic and daunting to even try.... and it is! (which is why we have already done it for you!)
